Meet Lydia Jeanne

LJ Horsemanship is based in Trout Creek, Montana working out of Havens Stables Arena. LJ Horsemanship is owned and operated by Lydia Bushman.
Lydia grew up on a small farm in Maine. She has ridden horses her whole life, but started pursuing Natural Horsemanship in high school when she started working under horseman/clinician Terry McClare. Here, Lydia gained experience and knowledge of building a foundation with a horse.

Lydia was accepted into The University of Montana Western in Dillon, Montana. Attending the Natural Horsemanship (NH) program, studying under Eric Hoffman, head instructor at UMW. She joined the collegiate Colt Starting Team, and completed her internship at Vienna Farm dressage school in Gorham, Maine. Lydia graduated from UMW's program with a Bachelor's Degree in Natural Horsemanship, an Associate's Degree in Equine Science, and a minor in Business.

After graduating Lydia worked on several different ranches around Southwest Montana and later moving to Northwest, Montana where she packed mules in the Bob Marshall Wilderness.
Lydia and her husband, Jay, now live in Trout Creek, Montana. She continues to study horsemanship and refine her skills.
